Our products are aimed at the casual collector that wants to own a piece of history to showcase and decorate their surroundings.
Our value proposition is finding “key issues” at affordable prices, making them as presentable as possible, like cleaning and pressing them. Finally, we put them in a protective archival-grade casing with added acid-buffered pages to slow down the deterioration of the comic.
A key issue is that there is something significant about a comic book that makes it more collectible or desirable than other issues. This can be something like a character’s first appearances, early appearances, origins, first meetings, first battles, first cover appearances, iconic covers, and important events related to a character’s development or that affect the universe in which they exist.
If you are an avid collector of comic books and are more focused on grading and investment opportunities, you might be better off looking towards other services like CGC or CBCS.
Our added value is in bringing affordable keys to the more casual collector that wants to showcase his love for comics.
We usually do dry cleaning and pressing to make the comics as presentable as possible. In some rare cases, more work is needed, in these cases, we will apply conservation or restoration methods.
Restoration is a treatment intended to return a comic book to a known or assumed state by adding non-original material for aesthetic purposes. Conservation is a treatment to stabilize a comic book’s structural state using archivally safe materials such as rice paper and wheat paste. Restoration and conservation is always disclosed on the label.
